Frequently Asked Questions

If you don’t see your question here, reach out and we’ll help you plan a calm, efficient shoot.

How do I place a studio hold?

Browse the catalog and add items to your Fallows. Then contact us with your dates. We can place a soft hold for up to 48 hours while you confirm COI and payment method.

What insurance do I need?

We require a certificate of insurance (COI) naming VoltBooth Studio Rentals as additional insured and loss payee. Minimum $1M general liability; gear values depend on kit selection.

How is overtime billed?

Base rates cover 10 hours unless noted. After 10 hours, time-and-a-half applies. After 12 hours, double time applies. Quiet hours (22:00–7:00) may restrict load-outs at certain locations.

Can I tour a space before booking?

Yes. We offer 20-minute scouts during weekdays. Bring a phone dB meter if you’d like; our rooms consistently measure low ambient noise under normal conditions.

Do you provide staffing?

We can provide a studio manager and a lighting tech on request. Ask for our standard crew day rates and availability at the time of booking.

What’s your cancellation policy?

72+ hours: full refund. 48–72 hours: 50% fee. Inside 48 hours: 100% fee on studio and reserved gear. We try to rebook and reduce fees when possible.

How quiet are your studios?

Rooms are tuned for dialog. Background noise targets under 30–35 dBA during typical daytime conditions; silent HVAC and decoupled walls maintain stability.

Can I bring my own gear?

Absolutely. We’ll walk you through power, rigging limits, and mounting options. For safety, we inspect high-wattage fixtures and distro before energizing.
